Selinah The Goat Agri: Growth in Action

Selinah Ntjana began her journey with a strong passion for agriculture, but without fully structured systems or a clear business framework in place. Through the Aluwa Programme, that passion was gradually shaped into a more confident, structured, and purpose-driven business.

As the founder of Selinah The Goat Agri (Pty) Ltd, Selinah has built a diversified agro-processing business rooted in goat farming, skincare, wellness products, and agricultural education. What started as a farming venture has grown into a business that reaches both markets and communities.

Through a partnership between De Beers Venetia Mine and TrioPlus, Selinah participated in the Aluwa Programme, an eight-month development journey focused on strengthening entrepreneurs through group training, one-on-one mentoring, and practical, on-site support. The programme placed equal emphasis on building business systems and developing the mindset and confidence required to lead and grow a business.

Throughout the journey, Selinah demonstrated a consistent willingness to learn and adapt. While managing the realities of running a business, she steadily improved key areas such as financial record-keeping, pricing, customer engagement, and overall business structure. Her progress was intentional and grounded in real implementation.

The impact of this growth is visible. Selinah expanded her operations, strengthened her product offering, and increased her exposure through platforms such as the G20 exhibition, the Rand Show, and the Limpopo Book Fair. She also introduced both mobile and in-house spa services using her goat milk product range, creating additional income streams.

Beyond business, Selinah continues to make a meaningful impact in her community. Through her children’s books and agricultural education initiatives, she is actively equipping young people in Musina and Blouberg with knowledge and inspiration to explore agriculture and entrepreneurship.

Today, Selinah operates with greater clarity, confidence, and direction. With a growing brand, improved systems, and ongoing development, including her Master’s studies, she is well positioned to continue building a sustainable and impactful business.
